About

About Kathleen:

I live in Cornwall, England and have a background in healing, education and training. I have worked both in the UK and abroad in college and university settings and have also delivered workshops across a range of personal development subjects within my local community.

I have always been fascinated by how our minds work so trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis International, initially qualifying as a Stress and Relaxation Practitioner. Following this, I successfully completed the Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis.

I am a Registered Member of both the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council. I follow their Codes of Conduct, work to the highest ethical standards and have professional insurance.

More recently, I qualified in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. This model of therapy takes a methodical approach to support clients to process traumatic or upsetting experiences that have led to the distressing symptoms they currently experience.

To maintain an up-to-date, broad range of knowledge and skills I have also trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy techniques, Compassion-Based Interventions,  Intensive Masterclasses in Trauma, Polyvagal Theory and Health Anxieties.

I am also qualified in Person-Centred Advanced Counselling Skills and Advice and Guidance, and worked within this field for almost 20 years.

I am passionate about life long learning and in parallel with the above have pursued my interest in depth psychology, in particular Carl Jung and his work on the archetypes. This in turn led me to study the symbolism of astrology and tarot, as well as other spiritual belief systems. I trained with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers (now known as the Healing Trust), and have been a Registered Healer Member since 2001.
